The Philadelphia Department of Commerce presents Manufacturing Reimagined, a series of tours of Philadelphia-based manufacturing facilities. Experience firsthand the capabilities of local companies who have reengineered themselves and see what products are currently produced. Challenge your own creative capacity to Re-Imagine new futures for existing equipment.
On April 29th and 30th, Manufacturing Reimagined visits NextFab, a gym for innovators. A membership based co-working space, NextFab houses state of the art equipment to make things in a vibrant community atmosphere. Members can take classes and use equipment or contract NextFab to develop ideas into physical products. Capabilities include: 3D Printing and Laser Cutting/Engraving Suite, 2D Scanning/Large Format Printing, Electronics Lab, Textiles, Traditional Wood Shop, Metal Shop, Water Jet cutting, CNCs, Wet Lab, Paint Booth, and Photography Studio. Attendees will explore the applications of advanced design and prototyping technologies as well as learn more about the growing NextFab community.
Cost is FREE, but registration is limited and required! If you find registration sold out, please join the wait list as we gauge interest for future tours.
